Dr. Stephen graduated from National Taiwan University and has since devoted himself to providing better medical services for pikas, rabbits and other exotic animals. Due to his strong interest in exotic pet medicine, he completed an internship at Kanazawa zoo and Tokyo University in Japan, Shoushan zoo and National Museum of Marine Biology & Aquarium in Taiwan. Subsequently, he served as a full time veterinary surgeon at an exotic pet veterinary clinic in Taiwan. In mid 2022, he relocated to Hong Kong and worked at Maple exotic veterinary centre as a full time veterinary surgeon. Currently, he is actively studying to broaden his knowledge of general surgery, endoscopic surgery and orthopedic surgery, and to obtain a specialist certificate.
Dr. Stephen is also actively engaged in medical research and has published medical papers such as “Use of chemotherapy in Syrian hamsters (Mesocricetus auratus) with epitheliotropic T-celllymphoma” and “Seminal vesiculitis in Golden hamsters (Mesocricetusauratus)”. He is a consultant doctor for the Hong Kong animal charity organization “Tolobunny” and often cooperates with different charity groups to provide educational lectures. During time off, he enjoys cooking a fine dinner for his wife, and occasionally makes desserts to share with friends.
