Dr. Nicole Wyre

Dr. Nicole Wyre completed her avian and exotic residency in 2006 under the mentorship of Dr. Katherine Quesenberry (author of Ferrets, Rabbits, and Rodents). She became an avian specialist in 2007 and an exotic companion mammal specialist in 2015 through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. She became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist in 2019 and a Certified TCVM Palliative and End-of-Life Practitioner in 2022 through the Chi University.

Before moving to HK, Dr. Nicole was a lecturer/clinical instructor and the Chief of Exotic Companion Animal Medicine and Surgery at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States. In 2022, she became an adjunct professor at the City University of HK Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences.

She has published numerous journal articles and book chapters on avian and exotic companion mammals. When not working, Dr. Nicole enjoys spending time with her ferrets and cats. She and her husband enjoy traveling, scuba diving, and skiing.
