Joey Heung joined Zodiac Pet & Exotic Hospital with a wealth of experience in animal care and a strong passion for working with exotic species. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a dual degree in Science (Marine Science) and Commerce (Accounting), reflecting her diverse academic background.

Joey’s career began at Ocean Park Hong Kong, where she first worked as a marine mammal trainer, nurturing her fascination with marine species. After a year, she transitioned to the veterinary department, further expanding her skill set and eventually taking on the role of Veterinary Hospital Supervisor. Her time at Ocean Park provided her with extensive hands-on experience in animal health management and care.

Since joining Zodiac in 2023, Joey has been an invaluable part of the team, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm for exotic animal care. Her work allows her to merge her deep-rooted interest in exotic pets with her broader passion for veterinary medicine. She is skilled at communicating with pet owners, helping animals receive the most suitable diagnostic and treatment plans.

Outside of work, Joey enjoys traveling and diving, pursuits that align with her love for the ocean and exploration.
