2006 年，Dr. Nicole 在Dr. Katherine Quesenberry（《Ferrets, Rabbits, and Rodents》的作者）的指導下完成了鳥類及珍禽異獸的住院醫師實習。她於2007年通過American Board of Veterinary Practitioners成為鳥類專科醫生，並於2015年成為珍禽異獸寵物專科醫生。 2019 年Dr. Nicole通過 Chi University成為認證獸醫針灸師，並於 2022 年獲認證成為 TCVM 安寧療護和臨終治療師。

Dr. Nicole在移居香港之前，是美國賓夕凡尼亞州大學獸醫學院的講師/臨床導師以及珍禽異獸寵物醫學和外科主任。 2022年，她成為香港城市大學「賽馬會動物醫學及生命科學院」兼任教授。

Dr. Nicole發表了大量關於鳥類和珍禽異獸的學刊論文和書籍章節。 工餘時間，Dr. Nicole喜歡與她的雪貂和貓共度時光，和丈夫旅行、水肺潛水和滑雪。
